The University Police Department requests that members of the JSU community be vigilant and report any persons that may not belong on campus. Recent offense reports involve individuals who are tampering with parked vehicles on campus. Suspects have removed two automotive catalytic converters while owners are away from their vehicles. Recent reports show that suspects are targeting Kia model vehicles, but we ask that all vehicle owners taking security precautions. Faculty, staff, and students are asked to report any suspicious persons to UPD, particularly those seen tampering with parked vehicles.
